Participants should understand how seminal clinical observations, animal experimentation, and anatomical discoveries initiated and refined the neurological examination. Participants should know who discovered and how the neurological examination evolved for aphasia, apraxia, cerebellar ataxia, movement disorders, and cutaneous reflexes. Participants should be able to use overlooked techniques to improve their examinations and to localize lesions more accurately.
