Women's Issues
Participants should understand physiological changes in pregnancy that can affect the nervous system or its vasculature. Participants should be able to recommend safe options for imaging in pregnancy and recommend safe options for symptomatic and prophylactic treatment of headaches during pregnancy; understand work-up, management, and treatment of the pregnant patient with stroke and multiple sclerosis; understand the risks of seizures and various antiepileptic drug regimens during pregnancy; and understand the challenges in treating myasthenia in pregnancy.
