At the end of the course, attendees will be able to assist physicians in learning about nutrition for their own health; describe the effects of nutrition on disease; present an overview of nutritional science including physiologic basis of whole foods plant based nutrition and the concept of superfoods; identify strategies to incorporate nutritional counseling into routine clinical practice; discuss the influence that dietary patterns have on the development of neurologic conditions such as neuropathy and migraines; and identify individualized dietary plans for patients with common neurologic diseases (i.e peripheral neuropathy and migraine).
