Learning Objectives Upon Completion:
Participants should be able to understand the basic physics pertaining to how images are generated by MRI; appreciate how spectroscopic, diffusion, and perfusion MRI are acquired and the indications for ordering these sequences in a variety of brain disorders; explain the role of MRI in the evaluation of a variety of neurological disorders such as stroke, infections, multiple sclerosis, neoplasms, and degenerative diseases; and discuss the educational and credentialing pathways and practice mechanisms available for neurologists to interpret MRI scans.
