Participants should be able to describe neuroimaging and CSF biomarkers currently available for clinical use; recognize indications and contraindications for use of biomarkers in the diagnosis of AD in current clinical practice; interpret biomarker profiles in the differential diagnosis of dementia syndromes; define the role of biomarkers in identifying the preclinical phase of AD and implications for development of preventative therapies; explain how biomarkers may guide future therapeutic interventions for AD; and understand how biomarkers enhance the power and efficiency of AD clinical trials.
