Participants should learn the current status of ALS patient care. In a practical sense, they will learn what multidisciplinary team care offers both patients and caregivers, along with practical guidelines on how to provide good nutritional and respiratory care for patients. Participants will also learn what is known and not known in nutritional and respiratory care. Lastly, they will receive a comprehensive overview of the recent progress and issues in ALS clinical trials and patient-oriented research.
