Participants will develop a better understanding of how to effectively develop synergy and work with chairs and departmental leadership in order to maximize their own effectiveness as chiefs across an array of activities. They will contribute to discussion of division chiefs' roles and responsibilities, with a particular emphasis on their interface with the goals of the chair and department. Participants will gain knowledge of experiences of their peers at institutions across the country.
