Participants should be able to recognize how patients with depression and neurological disorders are less likely to respond to neurological therapies and to recover from their deficits; become familiar with the way depression affects cognitive functions in various neurological disorders; understand how depression can increase the risk of the development of epilepsy, stroke, Parkinson's disease and dementia; and plan pharmacological treatment of depression in neurological patients.
