This award recognizes an APP who is an AAN member and who has been a practicing APP in neurology for less than five years, for excellence in patient care and commitment to the AAN.

Benefits

Each award recipient will receive a $1,000 prize, an honorary plaque, and recognition at the Annual Meeting and in AAN member publications.

Eligibility

Applicants must be an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and an AAN member in good standing. Applicants must have practiced neurology as an APP for five years or less at the time of application. Applicants must attest that they meet the AAN definition of an Advanced Practice Provider. Advanced Practice Provider membership is for licensed practitioners who spend the majority of their time with patients and are engaged in clinical practice related to neurology.

Application process

Whether self-applying or nominating someone else, applications should include:

• Required answers to three focused short-answer questions designed to assess early career impact and potential. Candidates are asked to demonstrate their contributions to patient care or practice innovation, highlight leadership and professional growth, and reflect on their commitment to advancing the neurology field and future goals.
• A current curriculum vitae
