Neuroscience research and brain health
The 好色先生's mission is to enhance member career fulfillment and promote brain health for all. Without the novel cures and therapies derived from federally funded neuroscience research, none of that would be possible. We are committed to ensuring continued support for neuroscience research through the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and other avenues to ensure people with neurological conditions continue to have access to new treatments.
Neuroscience research
Federally funded research is the cornerstone of innovation in neuroscience. The basic and translational research funded by the NIH is responsible for significant breakthroughs in how we treat, or even potentially cure, the neurological conditions that affect our patients.
The AAN supports increased funding for the NIH. Specifically, we support increased funding for the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and the BRAIN Initiative.
