August 25, 2025

If you’re looking for a fun and convenient way to earn up to 38 end-of-year CME credits, invest in your professional development, and network with your neurology community while top experts share the latest science and insights, then look no further than the 2025 AAN Fall Conference, November 7-9! This popular weekend is always a big hit with those seeking a more intimate opportunity to come together with their neurology colleagues from around the world—whether in person or online. If you're looking for a conference with a friendly, approachable size and scale where you can get everything you need in only a few days, then you'll love the Fall Conference

No one understands this better than three-time attendee Casey S. Albin, MD. When asked what keeps her coming back, the answer was simple: “Connecting with colleagues and the excellent educational programming.”

Four unique program tracks

One of the things that makes the Fall Conference unique is its distinct program tracks, and this year’s lineup includes:

  • Neurology Update, where you can dig into the latest in must-know findings in MS, dementia, epilepsy, movement disorders, and more
  • Practice Management, where you can learn common-sense ways to work better with your care team, reduce administrative burdens, increase your reimbursement, and employ useful tech solutions
  • Best of the 2025 AAN Annual Meeting, where you can catch what you missed from the most popular, clinically relevant courses and science from the 2025 AAN Annual Meeting in a smaller, more digestible format
  • Leadership University, where you can enhance your leadership skills and career fulfillment with sessions on leading self, leading others, and leading systems

“The Neurology Update curriculum speakers are such outstanding educators,“ said Albin. “They make the recent scientific advances practically implementable in the clinic and hospital, and are engaging and dynamic. Even though it’s a long day of neurology updates, the sessions fly by and I’m always excited to learn more!“

The hottest topics

If you’re looking for the hottest topics in neurology—plus insights and strategies that you can immediately apply to your practice and patient care—then the Fall Conference is serving up new myasthenia gravis therapies; cognitive, behavioral, and disease-modifying therapeutics in dementia; and more. The hands-on Skills Workshop, taking place in person on Saturday, November 8, will give attendees a chance to work directly with AI solutions in their neurology practice. And Aaron E. Miller, MD, FAAN, will be delivering the keynote talk on “Revised McDonald Criteria (2024): Diagnosis and Misdiagnosis of MS in 2024 and Beyond.”

In reflecting on her memorable experience at the 2024 Fall Conference, Albin said, “As a neurointensivist, it just had not occurred to me how much autonomic neuropathy I am facing with my critically ill patient. The session on autonomic neuropathy really equipped me with a better understanding of how I could optimize my patient care. Also, the cerebrovascular session was an incredible review of recent trials and how they fit into bedside management!”

Advanced Practice Provider Conference

Bring the whole care team! Everyone can benefit from the learning and camaraderie with this special add-on day on Thursday, November 6. Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other care team members will have a chance to dig into neuroimaging, neurodiagnostics, cognitive therapies, and more. Whether you’re a first-time attendee looking for foundational scientific knowledge from the Clinical Foundations in Neurology track or are seeking a more advanced mix of science and “soft skills” presented in the Advanced Clinical Strategies in Neurology track, the Advanced Practice Provider Conference is an efficient and fun learning and networking opportunity.

For four-time attendee Shannon Anderson, MPAS, PA-C, the fact that the Advanced Practice Provider Conference is associated with the AAN Fall Conference is a draw in and of itself. And then there’s the diversity of the attendees. “The people who come to the APP Conference—a nice mix of new graduates, those new to neurology, or those returning to the conference who want a refresher and really like the networking—it provides many interesting perspectives in one room at the same time,” she said. “Having the mix of people makes the conference really refreshing and makes the types of questions that are asked and answered really rich. It all just adds so much to conversations that you don’t always get in general neurology.”

Anderson comes from a large, academic institution with few other advanced practice providers. She said it’s an environment in which it’s easy to feel small and isolated, but when she goes to the Advanced Practice Provider Conference, she’s among a large, concentrated group of people like her. “There’s a camaraderie at the conference that I don’t get at other conferences or in the normal workplace,” she explained. “It’s refreshing to be around folks on the same path, and the community is robust. The biggest thing the AAN has given me is the knowledge that I’m not alone in some of my everyday challenges.”

For Anderson, the quality of the conference’s programming is second to none. “I have gone to the conference year over year, and every time I hang on every word,” she said. “The content is so impactful, and even if the topics don’t always directly relate to my current patients, the information all ultimately matters in my practice.”

Added Anderson, “I leave an AAN conference realizing this is why I keep coming around and staying a member of the AAN.”
