Payer relations
Practice Management
Access tools for working successfully with private payers. In this section, you will be able to find tools to work with payers, and navigate payer coverage policies. You can also find AAN resources including model coverage, and payment perspectives.
Payer-specific policies
Review major insurance providers' policies, guidelines, and fee schedules to ease your billing process and receive correct and timely reimbursement.
The Academy, through volunteer efforts of members of the Payment Policy Subcommittee, frequently has the opportunity to provide feedback on draft policies. Section members will see posts on Synapse requesting help from subject matter experts interested in reviewing policies.
Coverage policies are not permanent documents. Read the AANnews® article, "When a Payer Retires a Coverage Policy: Implications for Physicians" to learn more.
