Get ready for the Annual Meeting

Planning ahead

What to bring

Most attendees wear business or business casual attire. Temperatures in April typically range in the 50s°F (10 – 15°C) but can be unpredictable. We recommend packing layers.

We also highly recommend wearing comfortable shoes throughout the meeting, as McCormick Place West is large. If you track your steps, the Annual Meeting will make it easy to hit your step goal, so be sure to charge your tracker!

Pack your AAN green to show your spirit throughout the week!

Bring a reusable water bottle. As part of the AAN’s sustainability efforts, water fill stations will be provided around the convention center as an alternative to single-use plastic water bottles.

Shuttles

Shuttle service to and from Chicago O’Hare International Airport is available through Airport Express at a lower rate than your standard ride share.

Daily shuttle service to and from McCormick Place West will be provided for hotels within the AAN block that are located one or more miles away. Visit “Shuttles” under “Conference Information” in the AAN Conferences mobile app to download hotel-specific schedules, access a 360-degree street view of the boarding location at each hotel, and download a link to real-time shuttle wait times.

For additional transportation assistance or to request a wheelchair-accessible transfer, please contact Rhode Transportation. Prior to the meeting, email aantransportation@rhodeplanning.com; when on-site, call (312)-566-7996 during regularly scheduled shuttle hours. Reservations should be made at least 20 minutes in advance of the desired pick-up time.
